Here we are, right the day before my trip back to Europe.
Not easy to write down what these 4 months have been for me and how they changed my way to see the world. That’s why I will write down just a couple of considerations.
I finally understood how it feels like to be a foreigner, namely somebody who is not considered as belonging to the society where he lives. I have been object of curiosity, jokes, weird attentions, threats, greetings, warm appreciations from people on the street by just hanging around here in the city. And despite everything, I have been more aware of my identity day by day. Most important, I discovered skills and strength I didn’t barely imagine to have, and that’s the main reason why I will always be grateful to have done this adventure.
Furthermore, although the spread poverty I saw some of the most beautiful smiles ever.
And mine ahead tomorrow night night isn’t that bad too 🙂
I leave you some testimonies of my last Ethiopian adventure before seeing you all in Europe! And Ethiopia, who knows, it’s a goodbye for now.
